I love Plan Toys, but I admit our relationship had a rocky start. From the get-go I was convinced we were never meant to be. We had our good moments, as well as our bad, but in the end we hit it off, as any product from Plan Toys will always be a welcome addition to my home.
My first experience with Plan Toys was bittersweet. Within minutes of assembling their Plan City Parking Garage it broke. Urghhh, I was not happy. But after one simple phone call, a new garage was being shipping to me directly from Plan Toys. I came to find out that Plan Toys stands firmly behind their products and are happy to replace any broken, missing or defective pieces, often free of charge. Within days, we received the new garage, which has yet to show any signs of wear after months of heavy play. Things were looking up.
Frustration was the key culprit in our second encounter. Upon spending hours researching the “perfect” dollhouse for my daughter, I came across Plan Toys’ Terrace Dollhouse. Its size, neutral color pattern and moveable walls, windows and doors not only matched, but exceeded my stringent dollhouse requirements. Unfortunately, my joy quickly turned to frustration as I attempted to put it together. It was a pain. The walls and roof of the house kept coming apart before I could tighten the screws. “Ahhhh! Curse you Plan Toys!” Fortunately, within minutes of my “I WILL build-this-by-myself meltdown,” my husband came to my rescue and before I knew it, the dollhouse was complete. Since then, the dollhouse has been anything but a source of frustration. My daughter happily plays with it for hours, giving me time to “happily” work on my construction skills.
The third time around was technically an accident. Upon ordering the Plan Toys Cone Sorting set, I was mistakenly sent the floor model instead of the brand new item I had paid for. Upon contacting the company, they graciously agreed to either send me a new set or give me a hefty discount on the set that I received. Knowing that Plan Toys stands behind their products, I decided to take a closer look at the used set and consider taking the discount. With a simple rub from a Magic Eraser, the scuffs and scratches quickly vanished and that old floor model looked good as new. So without hesitation, I took that hefty discount, wrapped up the box, and enjoyed watching my son open his “new” gift. Score one for mommy (and her pocket book) and one for Plan Toys!
Three times the charm. While my first three experiences with Plan Toys weren’t quite up to par, they definitely sealed the deal. Plan Toys and I are one happy family. Sure we had our moments, but don’t we all? Their toys are amazing, they stand behind their products and the environment and as a result, I am one mom who truly stands behind them.
